I wanted to post this as I feel eating disorders is a direct mental disability that leads strongly and quickly to a physical and also life threatening disability. I know to all those who use a chair like myself or have a diagnosis on physical disability that you may not agree but on knowing someone very dear to me who lives with this everyday I want to for them spread the word and tell as many people that you are not alone and the person you think the least will be the one who is strongest don't struggle alone help is available......

Ok so here is the soppy status. Today I took a handcycle lent to me by a good friend Andrew Wilkinson and I challenged myself to ride it from Cwmbran to Chepstow in memory of Tash to raise awarness of TSS aware with the support of her Mum and family Mandy Scott Mike Scott Jean Earl and Daniel Falber I was supported by a fantastic team including Lewis Jones Jennifer Rawlinson and Owain Taylor and my amazing wife Natalie McAnsh. Missed on the challenge was Nathen Hole Rhian Hole Lucy Arnold-Matthews and Tim and Thomas Hoare and even though I understand completely why you where not there guys you where missed dearly. So the route took us from home to WAWWA in Pontnewydd cwmbran along the canal into newport through the town and over the bridge and along Chepstow road dealing with puddles and mud first and then traffic and people as well as it being bin day we where faced with plenty of obstacles. At last we hit the coldra and once we where safely over this nightmare roundabout we got on the A48 all the way to Chepstow taking on hill after hill to the finish line with the weather freezing and wet we where hit by endless rain but we did it and I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has been involved from start to finish I could not do the things I do with out the love support and encouragement of those around me and you all know who you are and I want you to know what you mean to me... so from me to you thank you... I can see this persons point but at the same time I think if a person can take their individual situation and create a life out of then that's their choice... if you are out to become a respected self exclaimed person then you need to make your own path in life... as a wheelchair user people naturally pity me I don't blame them for their pitty I show them simply that I don't need it and earn their respect as a capable person and in some cases more capable than the able person who is offering me thier pitty. It's about education and showing that you can be who ever you want to be if you work hard enough. You can't ban snow White and the seven dwarfs it's a tale that's been around for years any more than you can ban the facts in history of slavery but someone who looks at some else as being different or less of a person because they don't come under the rules of normality, race or sex has an issue of thier own and that is what needs to be addressed. If you feel strong enough to prove that you are an individual that you deserve the respect of those around you then I feel you need to earn it not demand it. I don't respect able body people because they can walk I respect them on the merit of their character but I don't demand respect of people because I can't walk but I expect them to let me show them that I deserve it if they are not interested I simply let them pass on by and not give them the time of my day as that is reserved for those who deserve it. Each disability is unique to the individual but the choices we make are ours and no one should tell us what we should do with our lives... This is just my opinion and again it is mine it may not be right it may not be wrong but I feel everyone has the right to do with their life as they wish.....

My next challenge is only 19 days away I will be handcycleing from cwmbran to Chepstow to riase awarness for a 13 year old girl who I thought dearly of she died 3 years ago on valentines day and Toxic Shock Syndrome was the cause... I am doing this challenge for her and for every other young lady that I know for every person that I know who has a daughter and this could affect them if they are not aware of it..
